People don’t want to buy just and iPhone or a Galaxy, part of the population can’t afford that prices and that is why Mozilla launched on the Mobile World Congress late on February its smartphone which costs 25$, quite astonishing comparing with how much does a flagship mobile costs, don’t you think so?

Mozilla has partnered with chinese low cost chip maker Spreadtrum. Is not the most powerful device in the market of course, but it will run apps and it is possible to use Internet, so for an entry-level smartphone what else do we need?

With a wonderful marketing strategy the company has presented this smartphone, as the cheapest one in the market, if you think about it the daily cost, is less than a 79p pint of milk! And if you prefer to purchase it with a pay-as-you go contract it will cost 99 pounds.

The EE Kestrel is a Huawei-made OEM device with 4G connectivity and a 1.2GHz quad-core processor. It has 1GB of RAM and a 4.5-inch 960 x 540 LCD display.
